It was a calm and serene Sunday afternoon. I and my family had taken off some time to take an excursion to the beach.
I looked forward to the trip in anticipation. I was indulged in my vainglorious frame of mind to prove my spectacular swimming abilities. My mother cajoled my younger sister to swim with us too. We decided to let go of ourselves in the cold waves of the sea. The ambiance was very soothing and the sun was also showing its last signs of majestic beauty. It was about to set. At that moment I had completely zoned out. I failed to notice that my mom and sister were drowning. The flow of thoughts had taken me to another dimension. The feeling of shock enshrouded my entire body so that I could not move a limb. Nevertheless, by God's grace, they managed to come out alive. I was so relieved but scared at the same time as I was about to lose my precious gifts At that time I realized that when life gives you lemons you actually have no time to make lemonade. It's easy to say but difficult to do. Things start happening in a matter of seconds. Even after achieving copious amounts of success humans are still vulnerable and helpless in front of life. It can either break us or make us. It tests us to reveal the maximum potential within us. But instead of realizing the truth of our existence, we tend to take people for granted. Hurt them until they are crushed into pieces. and brutally harm them. In conclusion, this incident changed my perspective on life.
